MEET SYDNEY

Sydney Abdnour is a freelance choreographer and performer currently based in Peoria, IL. She has been teaching dance since high school and has worked with performers of all ages, from 3-year-olds in their first dance class to seasoned adult actors and dancers wanting to hone their craft.

Sydney began dancing at the age of 3, continuing through college. She was a part of her high school's dance team, and has been involved with local community theatre since the age of 15. She has performed onstage and choreographed a number of musicals, as well as continued to work behind the scenes as a dance instructor at a local dance studio. 

​

Sydney loves all styles of dance and how each style requires a different aspect of performance, different elements of your body, and how every style tells a different story, though her favorite styles to dance and teach are tap, musical theatre, and contemporary/lyrical. 

​

By day, Sydney works as a marketing professional, and would love to some day combine both her passion for dance, choreography, and theatre with her knowledge of the marketing industry. She is incredibly grateful for the support she receives from family and friends as she continues to improve and train her skills in performance and choreography. ​
